Card payments, paid up front
How card payments fit into the rest of the platform — from the moment a student taps Pay to the moment the money lands in your bank.
When the card is charged
Every booking on YourADI is paid up front. The student enters their card details inside the booking flow and the full lesson price is charged at that moment. Booking confirmation, instructor diary, student portal — everything updates once the card clears.
For one-off payments that do not sit inside a normal booking flow — a settle-up from a student you used to teach off-platform, a test-day fee, anything ad-hoc — instructors can also send a payment link from the dashboard. Same payment experience, same secure card page.
Where the money goes
Card payments land in the bank account the instructor (or school owner) connects during setup. They arrive on the schedule the card processor uses for instructor payouts. Every payment, refund and credit movement is visible in the dashboard against the lesson it belonged to.
How refunds happen
What the student gets back when they cancel depends on the instructor's cancellation policy. The two patterns YourADI supports are:
- Lesson credit — the money stays on the student's account as credit toward a future booking with the same instructor.
- Card refund — cancellations outside the notice window refund to the original card; cancellations inside the notice window are non-refundable.
The policy is set per-instructor (or per-school) in Settings → Cancellation. Whichever policy is in force is written into the confirmation every student receives at booking, so there is never a surprise.
Card data and security
Card payment happens on a secure card-processing page inside the booking flow. YourADI does not handle the raw card number itself; the platform stores only the payment record (amount, date, status), not the card details.
